Front forks question
I recently bout a 93 kx 125 and havent really rode alot yet but i have noticed that the front forks seem a little off .it seems when i push them down real hard they dont come back real fast im not sure how to diagnose the problem can anyone help??

93, ha? Could they have the original oil in them, which has turned into tar?

Change the oil. Maybe replace the seals also as they may be swollen and giving extra friction. Clean up the internals well and you should be good to go. :wink:

well i thought about doing that but i have never done anything like that before is it hard to do .. I am mechanically inclined ..lol

that looks like it could be tricky maybe ill see how much it cost to have some one else do them

It's not, you can do it.
Do you have air tools? Not needed but it makes it easier to remove the damper nut. Other than that the only special tools you need is a length of PVC pipe and a very good socket hex/Allen attachment. Maybe a drop of blue Loctite and a bottle of oil and you're good to go. We'll help you through it if you run into trouble. :wink: Worst case scenario is you remove and replace the forks yourself and bring them to a shop. You'll still save about $75. :P
