2001 Kawasaki W650
I've been gone for a while so am trying to catch up with all the goings on here.
Over the summer and fall I sold five motorcycles/scooters with the intent to get another Kawasaki W650. Finally found a nice one in Brevard,NC with only 2025 miles. Sure is nice to have a 650 after riding the sub 250s for so long. It is the third W650 that I have owned. Still have the DF250RTB bobber and it's doing just fine. Probably will sell it before I head back to North Carolina in the spring. My goal to just have one bike. |

SO FREAKING AWESOME.
Wanna trade it for a REAL Britbike? :P Just kidding. That and the Honda GB500 are the Holy Grail for disillusioned Britbike lovers. 90% the looks, 75% the feel, and 100% better function, reliability, safety, and everything else! Enjoy! I'm getting a lot of fun out of my BSA. With a fresh rebuild and electronic ignition it starts in 1-2 kicks hot or cold, but I know it won't last....

Thanks for the complements on the W650.
It's all original except for the turn signals and missing the tank badges so I added some Kawasaki decals to keep people from asking what year Triumph. Also added a large top box which makes my butt look big but I figured that SpudRider and FastDoc would approve. |

I love the large travel trunk! It's official; I approve.

Those are sweet bikes. I don't think they ever made it to Canada. Glad to see that you still have the DF; I'll be sorry to see it go.

Yesterday a guy asked me why I put Kawasaki decals on an old Triumph. At first I though he was kidding but he was serious. Maybe I will get some Triumph decals and all will be happy. Oil temp thermometer from Ebay. I've seen maximum 80 to 90 degrees Centigrade on it so all if fine. I miss riding in the mountains but it's too cold there now. Even got down to 40 F here in flat Florida last night. |

Maybe really mess people up and get decals made that say "Kawasaki Bonneville" or "BSA W650" :P
