Looking for a brake handle for a 200GY-5

Well unfortunately while I was taking my bike of the trailer to get my safety inspection the bike came down alittle to fast and I wasn't ready for it.... the bike took a dive sideways and landed on the brake handle. The rest of the bike is fine (not even a scratch) except the brake handle bent... while trying to unbend it with a pair of pliers about 1 1/2 inches of it broke off :-( It's still drivable but I was hoping to get a new handle. I see on ebay you can buy the whole front brake assembly for $50 but all I really need is a handle. Anyone know where I can pick one up or any ideas on if one of the "Big Four" is compatible?

Well my bike is an oddity,So this might not be much help.. But the handle on it looks exactly like the one on my mid 80's Honda. Hope that helps.

What kind of bike, I have had no problems dealing with Tom from RPM, maybe he can order one for you?

Jollysig,
If you find a Big 4 match let us know for the cross reference parts thread.

I guess I'll take it down to a shop this weekend hopefully it'll match up to a 80's Honda. If I can't find it local I guess I'll start asking the Lifan dealers.

Jetmoto has them also. I paid $20 for a complete new clutch lever and mounting assembly for my bike when I dumped it playing Evil Kneivel. Bent the lever for the clutch. Not sure what they would charge for the brake, or if they will sell just the lever, but it might be worth a call.

When you mount the new lever move it in 1.5 inches or more so if the bike goes down the handle bar ends hit the ground before the lever.
Do the clutch lever as well. I did this when I first got the bike and have put it down a number of times with no damage to the levers. You can also put teflon tape under the handlebar mounts of the levers so if they do take a hit they'll just spin on the bars.

doesnt that move your mirrors in also, limiting your view? I guess they could be adjusted more, but I sort of figured then I would be in the way of looking back

I ended up get one from hooperimports for $17 with shipping. I wish I had more time to head down to the local motorcycle shop but I needed to get ready for a business trip.

We have a huge bike boneyard about an hour or so away from me..I might just make a trip and see what small parts actually fit my bike.
