Hello from NORTH GEORGIA US

Hi everyone!
My name is Austin, and I live in Hall County, GA.
I recently purchased a 2006 Zongshen Storm, GS250.
It needs a bit of work, but with the help of everyone here, I think it will be great!

Thinking about painting something like this.

Welcome neighbor.

Those bikes have a history of losing compression I believe.

Welcome!

That proposed red colour looks great! Spud and others here recommend Krylon Fusion as a good plastic paint.

Welcome; we are glad you joined us! Your Zong would look great with the red and black color theme. You have very good skill using Photoshop.

I don't frequent our Street Forum very much, so I am unfamiliar with any problems people might be having with your particular Zong. However, I own a Zongshen 200GY-2, dual sport bike, with over 40,000 miles on the odometer. The bottom end of my Zong's engine is identical to the bottom end of your Zong's engine. Zongshen merely increased the size of the bore, and put a larger top end on your bike to increase engine displacement from 196cc.

Your bike looks good, Austin! I like the black color scheme better than the black/silver color scheme. However, I like the black/red color scheme even better!

P.S. If you reduce your photos 50%, the thread is much easier to read.

I like it! X2 on smaller pics; much easier to see.

Nice

Hey brother, I'm in Chattanooga, same bike, I've been having a lot of issues resurrecting my zs250pos and just signed up here looking for answers, I'm guessing I know where you bought it, maybe not, but if it's right on the TN/GA line and has the words Trade and USA in it, I'd highly advise you not to let them work on it....let me know if you find a good place to get work, parts, etc.

My main issue is getting a spark at the moment, and yes , they lose compression. Hope your luck is better, not to scare you but mine died at 4500 miles, Give me a shout....[/img]

Hey there bgramster, welcome to the forums, there is a lot of useful information here! I did not buy it from that location. I bought it barely used from a private owner. As for parts, there is a distributor in Miami, Florida that I get my parts from. They're very helpful and parts are really cheap. It's called Zongshen America and the number is: (3055009989)
Hopefully everything will work out with your spark issue. I thought that I was having the same problem at first, but it ended up just being my fuel mixture and some serious carb problems.
