Stiff Clutch
My clutch lever is really stiff and always has been. Is there any way to make it more loose and easier to squeeze?

Sounds like it's time to lubricate the clutch cable. If your throttle feels a little tight, or sticky, the throttle cable may need lubrication, too. Youtube has videos on how this is done.

I use a cable luber for that job. It's a cheap and effective tool, and I use Maxima Chain Wax as a cable lube.

Is that the only way to lube the cable, with the tool?

No you can sit there & drip oil down the cable till it comes all the way through or make a paper funnel tape the bottom to the cable casing at the top & put the oil in that way. You also want to make sure the cable is routed the correct way so it isn't kinked... A kink in the cable will make it very difficult to to move.

Indeed, a cable luber is not the only way, but it is the fastest. The tool is very economical.

I have never seen a cable luber but i know what they are. I just unhook both ends and use a straw to apply and work the cable back and forth for 3-5 minuets and keep a steady flow of oil, it will suck it down pretty quick and i have constant black spooge at the other end so im sure its working its way through. I use my old motor oil.

I have this type with twin screws: Cable Luber
I use Maxima Chain Wax only, because I don't want any build-up between the housing and the cable. If I pick up a used bike, I use the cable luber and some brake clean to fully clean the inside of the housing first, then I follow with Maxima. It works great.
