Looks like a 163FML2 motor, push-rods. Right side case doesnt have an oli level window, left side case is different decoratively, but basically the same.

Good motor, in my book.

Thanks for the replies I am hoping that this is like some motors still in use. My bike is no longer made and I might need bits and pieces here and there. It runs very well...tons of low end.

I defer to my forum elders. But ya, very familiar even the heat shield on the pipe. I have a 162 FMJ at least thats what it says on my motor.(gallery pics PG 9) I have the oil window, no big deal. If you have no oil you'll know with out the window. Mine sounds like a push rod. I haven't touched or researched my motor yet. As for parts for your bike, no problem, you might have to jump through hoops to find a part but it is out there. As for parts for your motor, I defer to my forum elders. BTW Could you please PM me and discribe how you did your clickable thunbnails. Very nice. N2r.

PS. If I have a 162, do I call it a 150cc, 162cc or call it a 200?
What does FMJ stand for? (full metal jacket? :? )

I really like the looks of your bike. It reminds me of my old XT.

Thanks for the image hosting link. I am waiting for my gallery profile to be approved. I took a bunch of picture of my new lifan and the mods/repairs I have already done.

Thanks, It really is not a bad looking bike for the 500 bucks I paid for it*used for a few months by a friend* . But I know it is not made anymore and parts are going to be hard to find.

No prob on the link..It is a good image host site, Never had any problems with it. Can't wait to see Your pics.
