Cool! Is that the 250? A friend of mine picked up a 250 Can Am when we were young. We had to push start it though as the kick start spline was stripped. I think he ended up spot welding it on in the end. Yours looks to be in great shape!

Edit: My memory is shot... I think my buddy's was actually a 175 Qualifier

Very nice choice!

Of course....I hem'd and haw'd about selling my Husky for the last 15 years....so i finally mothballed it in a safe location.....just to get an offer on it last week! :x
To late now! Gonna let her 'age gracefully' where she sits. Should only appreciate. 8)

I spot those on CL once in awhile, but I'm not sure if I'm coordinated enough for a left side kicker.

I always thought that one of the interesting features of the CanAm bikes was the rotory valve setup, like the Japanese bikes of old.
Very precise metering for that day. They would flatten the power curse and really help the bottom end grunt for a two stroke. Made then harder to load-up also, so your spark plugs would last longer.

It's an 82 175 Qualifier.
They had the number plates on the rear fender, which was certainly an acquired taste.
The previous owner put MX fenders on it, which I will replace in white. I'm looking for a later 70's/early 80's MX tank to replace the big 12L enduro tank.

This is kind of the look I'm after, minus the number plates on the back

I have some white oval number plates coming, and will fab brackets to mount them on the side, just behind the shocks.

It's a fun bike that handles well, and has strong low, and midrange torque.
