So I ran out of gas the other day.
I had my fuel on "ON" and I ran out of gas and stalled, And I put it on reserve and still no go, Is this common to burn through the reserve tank as well?

You should have some fuel on reserve. Are you sure you were not running on reserve? I did that once, forgot to change the petcock off reserve after running out on "run". Also you might check the petcock by removing it from the tank to make sure the tube is still on.

I Dont think so, When the valve is Pointing up, it is "on" there is a little picture of a glass full, and center is off, and on the bottom there is the picture of a glass almost empty.

You must have made the common mistake of having it on reserve when you thought it was on. Sometimes the pointers are pretty cryptic. Most of us have done it at one point o another.

I've had that problem before where it looked like it was pointed the right way but wasn't. The way mine is designed it looks backwards so I always look closley for the arrow. Not saying this happened to you but it HAS happened to me.
Barnones picture shows it pretty clear how "high tech" reserve mode is. So unless one of those lines broke off......ya..... :roll: |

I've seen some China bikes with a petcock lever with an arrow and some without. IOW, on some models you point the lever to the word RUN or MAIN, other times there is an arrow pointing the opposite way.
If you drain the tank and remove the petcock, you can test it to be sure. Put a new piece of hose on the hose barb and select RUN / MAIN. Blow gently into the hose and determine if air is coming out of the long tube. Conversely, air should come out of the short tube when switched to RES. My '81 XL250S doesn't even use a tube for the RES setting, just a long tube for RUN.

Very good, I shall try these techniques. I Made a mount for my camera (Very Crude) And recorded some nice trail riding and also crossing a 3ft deep creek! but My camera messed up and i cant get the video out of it! Im working on getting another one.

Also it is possible the "straw" inside fell off leaving no reserve. One thing to note. The tank is u shaped. The right side likely has some gas in it. laying the bike down gently on the left side will sometimes slosh enough fuel over to get you a couple miles.

Both of my Hensim 150db's and the Xmoto have the same petcock....
I could not locate any arrows on the Hensims and could clearly see it on the Xmoto. All three Hondanoids... Twisted down was 'on'. Twisted up was 'reserve'. Same with the Q, too.

I think all of my bike's petcocks are different and I can't see the damn thing anyway. That's why I have a trip meter on all my bikes.

The fuel petcocks on my Zong, and my Honda, work the same way. However, the lettering is reversed on the two petcocks, and the arrow points in opposite directions! As someone else said, every bike can be different; you need to experiment with each fuel petcock to determine how it works.

On our Wildfires the straw was so short there was no reserve, we had to fix that ourselves.
