I believe they are all patterned on the crf50 xr50 type mounts. The 50/70 are the same. The 90 is different. Not sure on the larger atc 110/125 engines. I think they are like the 90.

AFAIK all the chinese clones are designed to fit the 50/70 pattern.

I dont know if that mount will work but I'm going to give it a try.
I still need to strip that frame completely then shoot some paint on it and reassemble but the wifes CT90 will just get the engine swap for now.
That is a beautiful adapter; I can't imagine why it wouldn't work perfectly.

TC, the more I look, the more I appreciate your adapter. How did you copy the profile of the China engine?

Its been so long I forgot exactly how I built it but I started with two flat pieces on top and drilled the holes and set the cross tubes then went from there.

It was an endless test fit-grind...test fit-grind until it fit right.
But basically I had to make the mount fit the frame first then fit the engine to the new mount but I had to make sure to leave enough space to actually get the engine to fit up in the mount as I was building it.
I was using a trans jack to support and lift the engine so it was easy to do.

Heres a better picture of the mount on top of the engine

The frame has been stripped down for the most part, I just have to finish sanding it and then I can paint it and start the reassembly but I really want to get new rims for it but doubt I'll be able to.

Here a picture of it up on the work table.

I really wanted the fully auto 50cc engine but I got a great deal on two of the 50cc semi-auto engines I just grabbed them.(both for around $140-NIB)

Real nice work. Did you do the seat also? Have you cinsidered a media blaster? Might save a lot of time and yield an excellent result.

if you made a template for those brackets you could probably sell them. im sure there alot of people with the old hondas that would love to get them going again. this would be a great option.
in my opinion.

I bought the seat its just a copy but its nice.

I have a blast cabinet and a small cheap portable blaster that works OK, I'll use the portable to get the places that are hard to reach. The frame is mostly stripped clean right now I'd bet a good weekend of working on it and it would be ready for paint but no hurrys around here with this cold damp weather.

I used a chemical strip to get most of the heavy stuff then sanded and wire wheeled the last bit but I never got it all done with the way things turned out and now its all mixed up and buried in a shed and the garage.

No templates but they are not to hard to make although copying the one I made would be much easier than remaking one from scratch.

Thanks for the detail; I can see now how the original motor used three mounts, vs. two on the China motor. That gives me some ideas for the old YB100 I have.
