The motobravo site has a few videos of them. I think the Chinese are pushing these as the 'next' thing for the street...
Coincidentally, I had started corresponding with Velimotors thanks to member mike_51_deluxe who introduced them here with the photo of that cool non-EPA motard. They only have EPA/DOT scooters, and they just emailed me with these scooters which seem to be the same bike as motobravo's bike: http://www.velimotor.com/gb/product/product.asp?ID=607 http://www.velimotor.com/gb/product/product.asp?ID=609 http://2010.nb128.net/asctechs/MP-15...er_hornet.html As far as looks go, these are more attractive to men, (IMHO), than the usual classically styled step thrus. I do think the Chinese missed the market a few years ago when they were selling their so-called 'superbikes' with 90cc and 110cc a few years ago, but those were step ups from the pocket bikes racers, not as a viable street machine as these are. They kind of look to be in the same vein as that California Scooter Company bobber--as 1/3 scaled bikes that look like bigger bikes, but with a cartoonish look to them. I like these alot.

It may not be connected, or even from the same manufacturer, only the same distributer but...
I had a Motobravo '250'cc street bike (230cc OHV dual port head with dual exhaust) and I found it to have significantly lower than (Chinese) average build quality. Especially the electrics and plastic. As is usually the case with CB's the motor was OK.

I remember those, Doc. I think most of us (a few years back) were into enduros, so don't remember anyone discussing one whether they were good or bad. They competed with the Lifan sport bike with the 200cc engine, I think.
I don't know who actually produces these scooters. I doubt it's Veli or Motobravo, but they seem ok. Did your bike look like this? http://2010.nb128.net/asctechs/GTR-2...otorcycle.html

I wonder if a 150 mock street CVT scooter could actually attain the claimed 70mph. I doubt it.
It's an interesting approach to a scooter. Like culcune suggested, it might appeal to a broader audience.

Actual or Indicated? Typically the speedos are optismistic. I can believe 65 though.

I saw that video a couple weeks ago, but it just hit me watching it again; deja vu!!!
1985, Los Angeles, there were a bunch of 49cc 2-stroke Yamaha moped/scooter bikes shaped like a sport bike running around the streets. Fast forward to today--a guy in Yuma rides one of the old Yamahas. Now the video--really seems like deja vu!! but these go alot faster stock than the old Yamahas...

It looks like a good deal. 60+mph and probably 70mpg.

I can't believe I ran across this post.
Mrs 2LZ sent me this link and asked if they were a CB and also if they were any good. A gal she works with is going to buy one for her daughter. Street legal in California!??????? 8O That in itself, is amazing. Pretty pricey.... http://norcalscooters.com/SCOOTER.html I told her I have no idea if it's any good....but it's definitely a CB. I made "No official recommendation".
