One thing I forgot to mention lol . . . Yesterday when I was getting all my pieces squared away I was cleaing the cover and dropped it on the cement. I'm not sure, but I think IF it broke at that time I would have snapped for real... lol

Yes, that would test you. Have a moaning chair in your shop?

I don't have a chair - the girl broke it riding it down the driveway. I do have a corner with a mat for curling up into a ball and whimpering softly. The spiders keep me company....

The 400 is very very VERY dusty and it not looking its best by a far stretch of the imagination. I need to get an oil filter this afternoon so I can change the oil after I run it around a bit. My new blackberry should be here by 10 AM so I'll get some pictures of the bike and my corner .

We are all hoping Good Things for the LXT's out there. If they hold up and run well over the long term they may be the best deal in motorcycling.

This bike has the foundation to be a really good machine; I'm hoping that the Honda stuff will make it more viable. I like the concept of the Rotax / Honda combo, but I'm still on the fence with liquid cooling.
If Rotax gaskets, etc are easily obtained, then it will be a non-issue.

I'd prefer an engine that was not a hybrid. Seems easier that way.

Me too, but there aren't many 400cc China DS bikes available yet. We don't all have Wild Alaskan's mad skills to transplant a Japanese 400 into a China bike.

OKIES, got it all put together, new oil, new filter, topped off the tank and went to start it.... :( No Joy! Methinks I forgot to put fuel stabilizer in it when it was just sitting there for months. And me without any ether...
