Greetings ffrom Scotland

Just found the site.
Got a Zongshen GS250 in January, with less than 100Km on the clock and have had various problems since.
Replaced the Regulator/Rectifier as well as the Battery.
Kill switch on the right grip packed in so I had to bypass with a waterproof switch from RS.
When doing more than 60 mph for over 30 miles the engine started seizing - loud scream that caused engine to cut out.
Took 30-45 mins for it to cool enough for me to ride again - at a slower speed.
Have now also replaced Spark Plug for the proper one and haven't done that speed again.
Also replaced original oil drain plug as the hex bolt part got stripped after removing twice.
Had to adjust chain every 2 days / 70 miles - replaced with a heavy duty one, but still having to adjust every week or so.
Will probably need to do the sprockets soon as well.
Great bike as a commuter - getting 70-80 mpg.

Hey MacDuffman, welcome! There are a lot of really knowledgeable here (I am not one of them) I have a Konker KSM200 which is the same as the sundown, or the Qlink XF200. Could it be that you need to allow a longer period of time for the engine to break in before attempting high speeds like that for that length of time? You should put up a few pictures, I would love to see your bike and what the countryside looks like as well. I am of Scottish descent but have never been. Cheers! McKonker
