input needed

greets all, i am getting ready to order my first china bike and naturally i am a little bit nervous. i am looking at 250cc bikes, namely the dong fang outlaw (df250cha) and the roketa mc-100 v twin. any input on these 2 bikes? anyone own either of these? pros / cons? i know the v twin will have a little more power, but i am not too concerned with it... mostly i want a reliable commuter bike that is also going to be fun.

I don't know a thing about them, haven't even ever seen either of them in person.

someone on mychinamoto just ordered the outlaw:

Dong Fangs have been popping up on threads, but the bobber bike has been the only bike discussed--here on chinariders and mychinamoto:

http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...er-Information

The bobbers seem to hold up well enough, but also discussed here and on mychinamoto is the Cleveland Cycle Werks bobber which has a growing dealer network, and are also holding up well:

No one has discussed the roketa as far as I can tell. Member 'barnone' has the Dong Fang bobber and member 'Gardo' has the CCW and both have had good experiences with them--the threads seem to be more in-depth on mychinamoto, but both are members here, and have threads here.

Bruce, since you are in Ohio and know Chinese bikes well, you should seriously consider becoming a Cleveland Cycle Werks dealer especially as they use the Lifan engine. They seem to have their business in order and are going to expand into scooters, too.
