Added Lucas oil treatment

While I was getting my NGK plug I bought some Lucas oil treatment. I've used it in cars before - don't know if it helps but it gives me piece of mind.

It states right on the bottle you can use it in Harleys and 4 stroke motors. With splash plate clutches it states not to use more than 10%.
Added some and the engine RPM's came up like they say it will.

It shouldn't hurt any...

i used to use that stuff in my jeep with almost 200k on it, i then read an article about it and supposedly after some tests, they saw that it did more harm then good... They also tested most other oil additives and said that the majority did little to nothing, i would save your money on it and spend it on other stuff.. i stopped adding the lucas to my jeep and noticed that it actually ran BETTER after i did.. i also have less oil consumption and the oil stays cleaner longer.. so im not sure what the lucas oil treatment is supposed to do.. the little display on the counter of my auto parts store is neat and all with the clinging gear oil, but it doesnt seem to work that way in the motor.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll "see" what I think of it as I go. I know my mechanic has told me some additives ball up in the engine but I haven't heard anything bad about Lucas directly... :?

I use Lucas in my semi's every oil change.I go 20,000 miles between oil changes.Had 943,00 on one truck i traded and 818,000 on current truck.I love it.Don't have to add any oil between changes. If i don't use Lucas i have to add a gallon of oil at 12,000.My truck hold 11 gallons of oil.

Diesels hold more oil than gas burners, my dodge takes 11 quarts, I never knew that tractor rigs take 11 gallons, damm. Back to the subject, I've never used any additives to my powersports, only castrol 20/50. Bikes get changed every 1000 miles or so, ATV's depending on the use, at least once a year. It's proven in my '86 Big Red, motor hasn't been touched in 21 years.
