PA,,, dmv pitster problem

Just a warning ,,I got shot down today trying to register my new lxt 400.They will not accept mso printed on glossy photo /printer paper,, must be on secure paper,,like the stuff titles are printed on.The guy at pitster that handles this was not in today ,,,soooo unless pitster comes thru with the correct document I have a huge problem,,,,,cause they assured me I could register it here .So I'm going to try and get it sorted out tomorrow,,will keep you all updated.I am a little worried.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Fish! I hope Pitster comes through for you, and gets you a document acceptable to the DMV Nazis.

if pitster does not follow through with it, you can always file a claim with your bank or cc company. the money you paid for the pitster could have prolly bought a used big 4 brand ds bike

well still man thats 2 grand that could have gone towards a brand new big 4 bike, which would leave small payments. or i can find 2008 ninja 250's for 2 to 3 grand in perfect conditon

I would try not to stress over it, I'm sure Pitster will straighten it out. 2K is a great price for a brand new mid weight bike... Heck, I paid $2700 not counting tax for my Konker 200 and it was marked down from $3200! When I was in contact with Xingyue Canada about the 400 D/S (same bike as yours) I'm pretty sure they wanted close to 5K for it.

DMV=PIA in my book. They seem to have a maximum IQ of about 90 there.

I'm close to pulling the plug on one myself, but I don't want to go through what you are doing. I may sit on this one a little before I sell Q.

No offence intended Mike, but the thread was about registering the Pitster 400... Where did the quad reference come from?

it was just a comment.. my bad..i have a bad habit of changing subjects..

and no offence taken

back on subject, im sure pitster will make things right, but if they dont you always have the option to file a claim with the bank or cc if they dont.

Not to beat a dead horse but nothing is worse than dealing with the DMV. Although I cannot vouch for it, I've heard that PA is a stickler state to boot. Good luck, Fishman!

I don't know why PA is such a pain. Most states take your money and run.

Based on our members experiances, PA seems worse than most. Kalifornia sucked big time. WA has been a PIA for me but ultimatly comes through.

I think it will work out fine. It has happened many times before with a DMV office rejecting the MSO due to the type of paper it was printed on. I dont remember anyone not being able to get a replacement on proper paper.

Part of the reason they are being a pain is to prevent theft.
