Another old bike

Thought everyone would like to see an old Honda XL125 that I came across this past week and had to have. Runs good and rides nice. It even has the original tires on it.

That seat doesn't look like it has ever had a bum on it.

Thanks. For it's age it actually is in pretty nice shape. As with most of the xl hondas it's missing the right side cover. I don't know if people just tossed them or what but they're hard to find.

The previous owner found an oem cover for the seat is why. He said the original cover wasn't real bad, he just didn't like the looks of it.

What'd ya pay?

Don't ride it on those tires though. Change them out first.

No worry on the tires, I don't think I'll ride it very much. If I do tho, I'll change them. I only got it because I always wanted one as a kid and it's the same year I graduated high school in 77. Kind of dumb reasons really, I guess.

I don't mind telling you guys what I paid for it. I had an old 110V wire welder that I quit using when I upgraded, and an old 22 rifle. That's what I gave for it.

My wife might have to put a stop to my projects too doc, or add to my shop .

Also as an update, I just got started painting the tank on the suzi today.

Sounds like a great price!

Your motives for getting the Honda are excellent, about the same as mine were getting the KZ400

Women need to ahve a sense of humor regarding their men's hobbies. The way I see it working in the shop on a bunch of projects is a clean, safe, productive distraction from life's other temptations. Heck, women should beg us to buy China Bikes and old Japanese machinery.

Your last statement is so true, doc. Fortunately I managed to have a great wife. It took two times but she's well worth the trial and error of the first one

That bike is in beautiful shape, Jim! I don't know how you and Doc find all the great deals!

Thanks Spud. It is pretty nice looking, but doc outdoes me on condition of the ones he finds.
