Hello from north central MO

Hello, been reading in here for awhile and have seen alot of good stuff. Been trying to decide if I wanted to try a china ATV, I dont mind wrenching on things so I think I'm going to give one a try. I have seen a few people not to far from where I live on here sharing. Again hello and I live on Thomas Hill Lake in North Central Mo.

HOWS it going. 2 yrs ago i bought a tao tao 110cc 4wheeler for my 8 year old. it still runs great the only problem is some of the welds have broken nothing of course that cant be welded back. i have looked at several different ones since then and the quality on some of them looks as good as japanese stuff. if i was making decision on which one to buy i would definitly look at weld construction.

good luck and i hope this helps

Welcome

I see no reason not to try a chinese bike or ATV espically at the price you can get one for.
Being handy with a few tools is definatly a plus.
As davidsonsgccc said the welds seem to be the biggest problem, at least in my limited experience with the ones I have.

Welcome.

I have little kid size ones.. and they are fine except for a few needly issues. Crappy chains, crappy swingarm bushings and crappy batteries. Once you get through all that they should be fun toys.

When you compare the money spent and what you would spend on a japanese one they are well worth the money, and basically simple to tinker with!

I'm sure you will enjoy it!
