PZ30 carb upgrade question
I have a 250-V4D from vbike. It currently has a PZ27 carb on it. I just purchase a PZ30 from ebay. My atv has a choke cable and a throttle cable that goes into the top of the carb through the slide. This new carb has an additional spot for a cable on the opposite side of the choke. What is this and how to I hook it up to my atv? I'll try to add some pictures later. I'm new to this forum. Looks like a nice place to get some information.

lol
The throttle cable goes through the top on slide style carbs. The choke cable is on the left side of the carb if you were sitting on the atv looking down at it. The new cable position is on the right side. It does not actuate the slide when I adjust it. It move a cam approximately 1/8" at full open. I'll add pics here shortly.

It operates the accelerator or throttle pump. This squirts an extra jet of neat fuel into the inlet tract to provide an instant response when the throttle is opened suddenly. Some people call them "pumper carb".

pumper carb?
I've heard of that before. How do I hook it up? Do I need to split the accelrator cable somehow? Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

I suppose that we'll have to find such an ATV (with a pumper carb) and get the cable for that. Failing that I suppose that it'll work reasonably well leaving the pump disconnected.

From what I've come up with if I don't hook it up it will work like a standard 30mm carb but I'd like to take advantage of the reduced throttle lag. So I'll start looking for a way to split my cables. Thanks for the help.

It won't pump at low throttle It has a cam action that really doesn't kick in until deep into the throttle. I believe some kind of junction box would work perfectly if I could find one. Not sure where to look.....oh well, back to go see my friend google.

Searching for "throttle cable splitter" brings up some splitter devices:
Can't seem to locate ready-made cable with splitters, but there were used a lot on two strokes with oil pump lubrication. One of the branches went to control the oil pump.

I think I found the cable
Check this link out. I believe this cable will work. I ordered one and will give it a try when it gets delivered.
