Lifan G20-2 Upgrade

I plan on doing some upgrades to my Lifan to make it a little more highway friendly. With the 17/56 gearing at 55 mph it pulls good but sounds like any moment it could become a leg and crotch grenade. :( I am dropping the rear sprocket to the 46-48 tooth range, adding a Regina reinforced chain, and switching the stock tires to the IRC GP-110. The IRC GP-110 rear tire is 5% taller (24.5 vs. 25.7) which will help a little in slowing the R's. Anybody using this 85/15 tire?

Not me, I don't know your bike, but off the top of my head I'd say you are going in the right direction with the sprocket.

If you need a 46 tooth sprocket I'll sell you one for $10 + shipping.

Sprocket Upgrade...

Thanks for the offer. I have decided to go the 49 tooth route. Anybody else out there need a great deal on a sprocket?
