What parts have failed on your bike?

Hi,

I'm curious what parts fails most frequently on china bikes. So please post what parts have failed in this thread.

In 3 years I've had:

1 . Battery
2. Wiring (bad connections)
3. Speedometer
4. wheel bearings (all of them)
5. Broken motor mount

I'm hoping we could make a list of things that needs regular inspection or maintenance.

Thanx!

The only real part failure I've had with mine in the 2 months I've owned it was the solenoid. ('08 Hsun GY200).

Oops, edit. 2 years, 3000+ miles on my 06 Roketa. Only failures have been the battery box, and fuel tank (crack on bottom where petcock attaches. Replaced with Hi-Bird tank, good to go!).

18 months. 8400 miles.

Gas Tank started leaking. Bulbs, upgraded the motor mount bolts.

Bad wiring connections and low quality wires.

Other than that really nothing big.

HSUN 200GY 2007....the only faults that were not my own are.side panels have bad placement I replaced with Acerbis Honda panels which fit better
-nuts and bolts frequently loosen
-the whole emmissions system thing
-speedometer is ok but not great
-plastics, rear fender and lighting is too fragile

nothing else really at about 1000 miles!

CRF450, They are not an exact clone fit but they are more flexable than the stock which I couldnt even get back on at all...they dont fit under the seat at all and I only put one on the left side to cover the battery but I could but the other one on to but I didnt want to bulk up the bike!

2005 Tank Trail 200.

List of failed parts:

-=ZERO=-

But, I did replace the battery in 2007 but I don't consider that a 'failed' part since it is really not part of the bike.

My Viva VX200SX has 4600 km now and managed to melt a turn signal (while modding the exhaust with a torch) and cracked the throttle grip tube.

Blew out one those horrible OEM inner tubes.

Chewed up the swingarm chain mat due to small sprocket replacement.

Engine tranny- nada problemo

Skyteam 200 double purpose bike:

1. Collapsed handlebar after a landing. :?
2. Mixed up wiring.
3. Never ending-stretching of the chain. :x
4. Fuel lines... although they didn't really fail they were so thin walled they were dangerous and also collapsed on bends.
5. My footpegs are starting to bend down I think, although I haven't checked if it's the rod, the footpes or the footpegs mount at the frame!!!! 8O ...

Jeeeeeezzzz, this is becoming depressing!!

I know  , but I'll be short of money for some time so I'll have to adjust. I think it would be really mediocre of me to quit this sport for not having money. This china bike will have to do...
