Need help registering Lifan

Hello everyone. I bought a new Lifan 250 a little over a month ago from a guy on ebay.I know that was probably a mistake but here is my problem. The MCO that he sent me is on cardboard and the ladies at the DMV in Florida will not accept it because they say it isn't on "secure paper". I have been to three different offices and no one will accept it. Now the guy I bought it from will not return my e-mails. Does anyone have some advice for me other than don't buy motorcycles over the internet? Thanks Craig

I think you still have time to dispute the charge if it is on your credit card.

That will get the guys attention.

Not sure how to get around the MCO problem without getting ahold of the seller.

I agree with kato.dispute the charge, then send the seller an e-mail.He will talk to you then.

Who did you buy it from. That helps others avoid going through the same problem.

Thanks I hadn't even thought of disputing the charge on my credit card. His ebay i.d. is jdimerchandise and on the cardboard MCO his dealer name is Globe Inc. If he decides to do the right thing I will come back and post it. Thanks Craig

Have you disputed with ebay too?

You should be able to get a phone number from them.

Im not too sure how the whole MCO thing works...would a Lifan dealer not be able to get one for your bike???
If you could get in contact with an english rep from Congqing Lifan they could possibly help if you gave them the VIN info and all.ask the DMV for your options, Im guessing they probably assume the bike is illegal or stolen because they are not familiar with the low life span of a Chinese motorcycle dealer......I would be on emails and phone lines with Chongqing Lifan trying to track down the origin of the bike.also keep on the seller be nice to him and ask if he can help as hard as that might be???

I had some issues at first getting my MCO, which finally came this week. I could never get ahold of the seller. So i called ZongShen America, because thats where my bike came from. Not the "Dealer". So, a week of me calling ZongShen everyday got me some where. They called the "Dealer", and wow someone answered the phone. A week later I got a MCO. Now hopefuly, It's good enough for state of PA. should be I made copies for my records and they came out with little "void" marks all over it. In other words it's like a real legal document, not cardboard.
