2023 Hawk DLX 250 check engine flash meaning?

Sorry if something about this already has been posted here. I tried to search for it, but it wouldn't let me.
Anyway...
Bought the bike online and put it together.
Started with charging the battery fully before putting it on the bike and try to start it for the first time. It started right up but idle was at 3k rpm but no check engine light on. Only ran it for about 30 sec. Next time I tried starting it i had put another gallon of 89 octane in it.
Again.. it started right up but idling at 3k and check engine light came on so I put some slack on the throttle cable until I got to about 1100 rpm. Rode it around the block for about 1/4 mile to see if it would go out. Didn't.
I now get the 10 flash, then 5 flash and repeat after doing the key on/off 3 times.
Does anyone know what that means as I don't have a diagnostic tool? This is the EFI btw.

I don't have an EFI bike but here's a thread on EFI troubleshooting:
https://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=15675

It sounds like you might have code P0505, which Google says is related to "Idle Control System Malfunction."

There are a few threads that include posts from folks with the same error (P0505), but unfortunately no solution is given:
https://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=27309
https://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=27859

Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

I don't have an efi hawk, but 1100 rpm idle seems a bit low.

You may be able to unhook your battery for a while, and let the "computer" possibly reset itself. It works on some automobiles, it may work on your bike. Some people like to turn the ignition to the on position for about 10 minutes before hooking the battery back up, just to sap any energy that might be stored in the computer.

If there is capacitance in the system, you may need to drain that. Remove both posts You can dump any residual capacitance in the system by Grounding the positive wire. (hold the two together). This allows any residual charge (capacitance) to drain out. When you reconnect the battery, EPROM may reprogram the thing.

I have done the unplug the battery for a while and plug back in. Haven't tried the leave it in ON position for 10 mins. Will definitely try that.
If that doesn't work I'm gonna let it idle for a good while and then take it for a local ride to see if it clears.

None worked but the valves are kinda noisy so my next step is to see if they need to be adjusted. Read a few posts about them being too tight receiving the bike from shipment.
We'll see...
Comes with warranty, so if I can't get it to work I'm guessing start bugging the company I bought it from.
