Anybody have any idea if Kamax dirt bikes are any good? Specifically the KMX250 CB.

Welcome aboard!
If it's like the rest of the China Bikes,you'll have no problems finding things you want to improve. That's the fun part of these bikes, there primitive and easy to make better..

I recently received a Kamax 450nce. It actually appears to be the same as a gpx450r with some upgrades. I am just breaking it in but it is very good quality. There are a couple things I noted:

1. Most stuff was locktited from the factory.
2. Hand guards need to be replaced. The design utilizes the clutch bolt to hold it.
3. It’s heavy to take out of the crate but feels light when riding it. Haven’t jumped anything yet but suspension seems good (szc).

I hope this helps. I am currently looking to get the new 300 2-stroke from them so I am pleased.
