Spark plug torque setting.

Any guidance on the torque setting for the spark plug? I’ve searched the forum and can’t find a spec for it. Manual says for a new plug turn 1/2 turn after seated. I’m much more used to torquing my plugs if anyone can give me the right setting. Thanks!!

Not to over-think it, as many will do this from "feel",....but the official NGK spec for 12mm plugs, is 11 to 13 ft-lbs......or about 144 in-lbs

Winner. Most spark plug torque specs into alloy heads is around 12ft-lbs.

Hot or cold cylinder head? Seems like it could make a difference.

My general rule of thumb for all threaded fasteners, if I do not have specs or it doesn't seem that important, is to turn it 1/8 turn (45 degrees) past snug. If that seems too loose, I will give it just a slight extra turn, maybe 1/16 or less. Turning 1/4 is too much. Important fasteners like head bolts I always torque to spec. I am extra careful with aluminum threads of course.
