Emissions Removal on Brozz

So I waiting on my new carb and exhaust to arrive.
Since I’ll be eliminating the catalytic converter is there any benefits to removing the other smog equipment? Looks like I could simply unbolt it and plug any ports to the air box and either make a block off plate or plug the engine port as well.

Benefits would include, no air leak into the exhaust that will cause after firing (flames) to heat up the system and burn out muffler packing as well as making lots of pops and snaps.

Less clutter and hoses on the bike making it less annyoing to work on.
Less weight.
