Dumb question

I am still working on getting my rhino out of the driveway, I have chased all the gremlins down except one thing and that is keeping it running once it starts. I adjusted the carb today and that seems to be better. I have been in email hell with tech service and they now are asking me which way the choke lever is when I get it to start. My initial response is the lever is to the left and towards the front. They say it should be pointing to the right after warmed up. I think that sounds strange as who wants a lever to be in the way while riding?

In my experience the choke usually as a stamp on it indicating which direction to active it.
