Check your electrical plugs !!!.

My son rode my new DLX to the doctors office today and when he came out the bike wouldn’t start with the starter(
Low battery). He then got it started via the kick starter but the bike died about a mile later with no lights, horn etc.
I went and picked him and the bike up,got home and put it on the lift in my shop.I tested the battery and it was 11.9 volts,I started looking for a main fuse and as I was moving wires around the big plug in the black rubber cover by the negative side of the battery just feel out !! as did another plug coming off the negative side of the battery.
I put them back together, made sure they CLICKED together and everything came back on!....
So as part of your “ checking everything “ when you get your new bike
CHECK ALL THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS.👍👍👍

Thats one of several reasons I tell people to go over the electrics during assembly. Prevents a lot of headaches later on.

On those long winter nights through boredom I shortened and reterminaled the whole loom. There were a few bad crimps found. Every single plug connection and switch contact got dielectric grease to keep the water out. Point is you get as good a bike as you put into it.
