Bashan bsr 250 head port and polish

Hey guys decided to port and polish my head on my bashan bsr 250 and removed the head last night. I noticed on your hawks there are 3 dowel pins on the jug that help line up the head and 1 has an o ring. When I removed my head I only had 2 dowel pins and no o ring. Of course I don’t think anything fell off as it was a pretty easy process to lift the head up and off but I can’t help but feel a little paranoid that I lost these pieces. I looked all over the floor and down in the engine and can’t see them anywhere. Anyone ever take a head off of the bashan and notice these are the only ones? Also does anyone know where to purchase these dowels and o ring?
Another question is for those of you that decked your head on the hawk how much material did you start with from head to mating surface it feels like there isn’t much material to shave off at all prob 3mm total if that when looking at it.

I don't think the Bashan has the o-ring from what I read in Herbie's thread. I only took off 1mm to raise the compression ratio to 10:1. It doesn't take much to bump it up.

And what did you use to deck the head? I’m sure I’ve read in one of your threads just can’t remember

I used the old school method. Sandpaper on 1/4" plate glass and lots of elbow grease. It doesn't take long to take off 1mm.
Read this thread. http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=22777

I did the same method as Jerryhawk but him using glass is the best way to do it if you have it available. The way I did mine was I had some pressed wood shelving that I layed flat on my concrete garage floor. I checked it with a straight edge and was very straight. I used some 3m spray adhesive that I had and sprayed the board and stuck 2 sections of sandpaper together edge to edge and made 3 stations onto the board, 60grit, 120grit, 400grit. It took maybe an hour total to do, most of the time is the setup time.
Just wondering where did you get your new head gasket from and how much did you spend on it? I checked both Peace Sports and CSC and went with CSC because it was a little cheaper and it was still $16, most of the cost came in the shipping.
Oh and by the way I ordered a few of the PE30 intakes like MegaDan is using and it shows I should get it delivered on Dec 24th. If you want to upgrade to the PE30 and this intake works with your bike I will be selling 2 maybe 3 of them at what I paid for them which is about $7 plus whatever shipping would be.

If it hasn’t already been said the TT250 head cap already has the 1mm taken off as I understand. ?

That’s the thing I bought another head just in case I mess up the one on my bike and after comparing the 2 the bashan 250 head is already decked 1mm less then the cg250 head I had bought so I’m thinking I shouldn’t even have to deck the head

Did you measure the volume of both heads? I've done my stock Hawk head and have done the TT250 head. Both had the identical volume. The castings were different and the TT250 appeared to be decked lower but once I measured the volume they were the same.

How did you measure the volume, Jerry? I would do it with a piece of plexi and a burette (if I had one) or maybe a big syringe. What's your method?
