Car Custom Exhaust for TT250

Wondering if anybody has bought the exhaust system for the TT250 sold by "Car Custom"? It is advertised by CSC and is basically the ebay version many have purchased. The big difference is that it's supposed to be a "direct bolt on" version. Unfortunately I dwell in California so they won't ship it to me. https://carcustomonline.com/direct-b...al-sport-bike/

I think the only difference would be the exhaust flange holes are properly spaced so you don't have to slot them to bolt it to the head.

Looks like the same Ebay exhaust. But it does come with a jet kit.

yep, ebay system with the right flange. Notice the exhaust wrap on the pipe at the airbox? Likely still a fitment issue lol

I will be going back to Northridge for sure for Thanksgiving weekend if you have no other way to buy one and want to coordinate and ship it to me in Yuma and I will drive it back.

I bought one for my storm, still had to remove or modify the air box. Benefit is that you don't have to cut the flange. I was not able to use the midpipe mount bolt, with it in the exhaust pipe hit the clutch lever but maybe the TT250 has got a bit more clearance. Going to rig a mount this winter for it but so far i have had no issues.

I removed my airbox and used a pod filter. I did cut the left side of the airbox off and reused it to mount the solenoid and hold the battery. Not sure what the left side electrical mess looks like on the tt but you may have to deal with that if you don't want to mod the air box to clear the pipe.

Couldnt use the pilot jet included because my Pz30 uses the short cold start jet, but the mains would have worked and they included a af screw that was slotted.

here are some pic of it installed.

oooo, i just noticed something on their site which i wish would have been there when i bought my system to save on shipping, a spark arrester. Sweet, thought i was gonna have to rig something and hope the DNR didn't get to pissy about it if i hit any trails.

I am not too proud to say my spark arrestor is a kitchen sink strainer. $3 pack from walmart various sizes. Fit perfectly. Others I hear tea strainers work wonders, but forest stamp is a must in some places.

I have my doubts if this one is stamped, going to email them to make sure. MI DNR is not forgiving about spark arrestors on public land, plus a lot of the trails i want to ride are on national forest land so got to play by the rules. Might have to finagle a quiet core for it too, definitely a lot louder than stock.

What is the Forest Stamp for? Exhaust arrestor compliance? Emissions? Noise?

Got a response back from them. guess i'll order one since i don't really see any aftermarket options cheaper that are certified. I had asked if they had any plans to make a baffle/quiet core for them since some states are getting strict about sound, doesn't look like they are.

"yes the spark arrester is forestry service approved. we get them from a local distributor here. so far there is nothing in the works for a quiet core for them at this point.

regards
josh "

There is all kinds of catalyst/db killer available. I might give these a try myself:

Only worry is the heat cook the exhaust packing material if placed right in front of muffler.
