Scores

I hit the local MC swapmeet this morning. Couldn't find part number 1 for any of my bikes but I scored some decent none MC stuff for a grand total of $25.

So, got an early fifties Coleman 413D for ten. These were built from 1950 to 1953. Still had fuel in it that smelled like it was from the fifties but a little love to the fuel/air system and it lit. Still needs some work to make it presentable but typical fifties Coleman quality, which is good stuff.

Another ten got me this Sears 6/12 volt timing light for use with the DeSoto. Heavy sucker with the cast metal body.

This was over priced at five but I haven't seen one for quite some time and mine succumbed to the Illannoy winters a few years ago.

It's Lucas Cyclometer for my 68 Raleigh Superbe. Us old pharts remember the steady click click click they provided as kids. And at 167 miles, it's just broken in.

The new Coleman stoves are not as much fun. I miss pumping that button on the tank to pressurize the fuel.

I was going to toss my timing light and dwell tach. I'll list them instead. There's a lot of old classic cars around here, maybe I'll get lucky!

I find the ‘hiss’ of old Coleman stoves and lanterns relaxing.
