To upgrade forks or not to upgrade them (inverted forks for 30$)

Hey guys, I found some inverted forks off some type of cg based chinabike in my area. The person is parting with them for 30 dollars. Yall think it's worth it and /should/ work just being slapped on my hawk? I'm gonna take some measurements for sure.

I'm hoping theres some weight savings. I know theres supposed to be less unsprung weight. If they work that'd be cool

opinions?

If they fit it would make your front end a bit more rigid. (good for offroad)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but is not simple "Take old tubes, put new inverted tubes".

You need the whole assembly

Hawk 250 type upper end

Inverted forks lower end( as seen on csc tt250)

Inverted forks uppper end( as seen on csc tt250)

As you can see they have a different diameter which is logical, since inverted forks are a lot beefier than stock forks.

Can it be done?
Yes, with the whole assembly, you can make your hawk 250 have inverted forks, but you need more than the tubes.

triples. forks, wheel, axle, brake rotor and maybe caliper as well. At that point you will also need to figure out something for the speed sensor.

Yeah, I would say for 30 bucks go ahead and grab them. Then, if all else fails I would bet the TT250 triple clamps and front wheel, brake rotor, and speed sender would work. You would be looking at close to $300 going that route though, when all said and done.

For $30, throw it on! I had a similar front end, and it took strange bearing sizes, so make sure that you measure them, that can be the make or break for a swap like that.

I have a "free USD front end without a wheel" collection near Chengdu airport.
So I have triple clamps etc forks and so on - if you need something that's small enough to post the item is free but some $ for work rendered.
It all came off a Hawk like bike from Haosen factory.
Front wheel normally is different and also the brake disc maybe caliper bracket etc
