Another option courtesy of a prior post by forum member who purchased bulk UNI foam on amazon then cut out his stock HAWK filter and glued it to the rubber gasket. I used a piece 5.25 inch by 6 inch with the stock filter bracket and oiled it up!

Man that's awesome! I'm sure that's much cleaner looking than mine haha. I'm thinking of getting the airbox from at yamaha xt 250 so it will take a filter from the top without having to take the box out.

Thanks Megadan! I will have to research this idea. In my brief experience I say the number one negative on the MAGICIAN is the air box situation. I mean you have to remove the seat, the splash guard, the muffler pipe, the back tire, the battery, rearrange the solenoid and battery box to just squeak the airbox out. Not something you want to do frequently to clean/change air filter hopefully once a year and best done when work is needed on the rear axle. Cutting out for a POD likely in the future when time permits.

I ordered a 2013 xt250 airbox that takes a slide in filter from the top to try out.
