my oil cooler project

got the mount built... quite strong and heavy..but a xtra
half KG of weight won't stuff a days riding but a smashed cooler will..

The cooler is a full flow system.... pump/cooler/filter/motor..

just got to plumb it now... all the connections are on the motor as
they first came out with coolers but were removed when they changed
from a 5 plate to a 7 plate clutch...

Going to have to do a slight mod to change the angle of the bottom
banjo fitting..it's to close the the motor...

That oil cooler looks remarkably similar to the cooler on a DR650. Where will you be tapping into the motor/oil supply to plumb it in? How much more capacity do you expect to pick up once the system is functional? I had a VW Beetle way, way back in the day. There were a ton of aftermarket oil pans for those engines that promised better cooling and larger capacity. If you increase the capacity, it stands to reason that the oil will run cooler. Keep us posted!

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way I told you to...

there are 2 plugs / fittings on the right side engine case just below the
oil filter houseing... out & in...
I have to take the case off as there is another plug inside i have to replace
with a longer one that blocks the main oil gallary from the pump between
the 2 on the out side so the oil is redirected though the cooler...
