New magician250

Hey everybody just got my magician in last night (my first motorcycle, just beginning to learn) won't be able to mess with it too much until tuesday due to work.
I've got it put together for the most part, just have to do everything else. Its stock for the time being going to eventually do the carb and exhaust and have a 17t sprocket on the way.

Have learned a lot from reading others posts so thanks for that.

One question for now and probably many more to come, it seems to me like there's a lot of excess play in the throttle grip, when rolling on, is this adjustable or normal?

Thanks again

Yes, it is adjustable. Right at the handlebar end. Should have a small amount of play, not much, just a little bit....ARH

One area of hit or miss quality is in the throttle cable. My Hawk has always had a lot of free play in the throttle, even with the adjuster turned all the way out.

Congrats on your new ride! Someone from Tennessee just posted in the welcome section of his new Magician purchase. There are not a whole lot on these bikes since most members seem to have the cousin, the RPS Hawk. I always liked the look of the Magician, but my only gripe is the small gas tank, which would NOT be a deal breaker for me, but just a gripe, lol.

Here is the link to the thread from the Tenn. guy--you guys can perhaps share notes.

AZdonald, congrats on your bike, and it arriving in one piece. I've had mine for a few days now and seems to be solid bike. I am waiting on a few parts that were broken and should not have made it on the bike. Not the fault of the shipper. I only have a couple gripes but definitely not deal breakers. One is the seat is not going to be good for more than 30 min riding and your butt will need a break and the small gas tank. For the money great bike. I am very satisfied.
We need a Magician network like the Hawk. Apart from the Motor these are very different bikes. Have you had a chance to ride yet?

Broken Parts:
Throttle handle - no positive stop, rotates forward and back
Speed Sensor- Internal ring bent - I repaired but gears are damaged
Wheel - tabs for the wheel sensor - file claim on Monday get replacement
