bearing.... take it out... measure it or find the number on it..
number will look something like... 6203-2RS or 6303-2RS
6 = Type - in this case...deep groove ball race
2 or 3 = bearing OD
03 = bearing ID .. (03 would be 17mm)
2RS = 2 Rubber Seals...

ID code is....
10 = 50mm
09 = 45mm
08 = 40mm
07 = 35mm
06 = 30mm
05 = 25mm
04 = 20mm
03 = 17mm
02 = 15mm
01 = 12mm
00 = 10mm
9 = 9mm
8 = 8mm
7 = 7mm
6 = 6mm
5 = 5mm
4 = 4mm
3 = 3mm

This seller appears to have them available in several sizes. Maybe contact the seller for some help.

This should be Page 60 of Hawk Talk. Very bottom post (#900)
http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=17329&page=60

Fronts = 6301-2RS
Rears = 6302-2RS

The All Balls Racing bearings he links are the same wheel and steering stem bearings I have used in many of my previous bikes. Good quality and reputation.

If you decide to get another brand, Timken and SKF are great brands. The Timken bearings are pretty hard to find anymore, but the SKF bearings are easy enough to find and are generally around $8-15 each depending on the seller/website.

Isn't he talking about the spacer? I thought in another post he said he was missing the front wheel spacer. Might be getting my posts mixed up.

If you have a left side bearing failure, that would cause the rotor to grind on the caliper...ARH

Then we should clear this up, because a bearing and a spacer are two very different things.

Thatdankid - Is it possible for you to post a picture of the brake side of the wheel hub/axle area for us?

Can anyone please tell me how many wheel bearings are needed for the front and rear Hawk 250?

I just bought some 'All Balls Racing' bearings for my Hawk 250 online last night and ordered just one bearing per the front and one for the rear wheel. I paid a decent amount for overnight shipping to get it by this weekend and now it just occurred to me that there may be more than one bearing needed per each wheel.

Did I make a mistake by buying just one front wheel bearing, and just one rear wheel bearing??

I have my rear tire off to change the sprocket so I figured that it would be best to change rear wheel bearings. Also it seems that my front disk brake rubs excessively on my brake caliper so figured that the front bearing should be replaced too.

So should I have ordered more than one bearing for each the front and rear wheels??

Thanks.

Also, do I need a press to remove or install Hawk 250 wheel bearings? Thanks.
