Shift forks

Ive been working on a '14 tao tao 125d with f n r so far I was able to fix all the wiring and get the carb limed out, runs great but it will randomly jump in and out of gears. Without response to the shift other than It emgages the clutch and the n and r light works and from taking the clutch cover off I can see the external working as it should. If im not mistakin its just for the indicator. The other side of that "shaft" the forks are mounted to...? Sounds good(right) . Anyway, can any point me in the right direction for the procedure of "checking"/replacing the forks.. From what I see Id have to split the case so Id like to do it correctly. Thanks, Johnny.

If it jumps in/out of gear...
could have worn dogs on one of the gears..
or the detent spring is weak and not
indexing the shift drum or holding it in place..

the detent may be behind the clutch . arm with a wheel type thing on the end..
or a bolt that looks like a drain plug in the bottom of the main cases... that has a spring with a plunger on it.... check them first..
not sure how these motors are put togeather...
if not...........pull the bugger apart...

Thank you for the advice for real. To me they look like honda 110 clones however the hear say Ive heard, some things will be opposing. I may tear my 200x engine apart first before I give it a go on the tao tao, Id rather screw mine up than thiers lol any other advice is greatly appriciated such as if I split the case, lay it clutch side down? Upright? Just less chance of it having a jack in the box effect if you get what I mean

As it turns out THE shift fork has a pin that rides in the "shift drum" not sure of the name, anyway that pin or peg retainer cannot do its job due to the hole for it is not in the correct spot. Does anyone know where to get specific parts like this?(the shift fork) I havent found this one yet, although I can make it work it would be beneficial to be able to find parts
Side note.. I picked up a 250 baja wilderness trail, fun little quad
