Coolster Assembly Questions

With any luck, I'll finally be picking up the 2 Coolster 150's today. Since these are Christmas presents, I have to assemble and hide these away from the house. So that brings me to my question. Will I need anything special to assemble these ATV's? Anything outside of SAE and metric wrench sets and socket sets, screwdrivers, and a HAMMER? (and blue loc-tite of course!)

Nothing special. Mine went together pretty quick. Loc-tite and check all bolts. Especially the Allen screws on the hand guards. I missed them and those were the 1st screws to back out.

It comes with Allen wrench and open end wrenches. You could assemble with the tools it comes with but sockets and ratchet make it a lot quicker.

The wrenches that came with my Rhino were garbage.. Have a good set of metric sockets and Allen keys on hand.

Seriously though...take your time and give everything a good looking over

...and Swampy told me he swapped out the CV lube also. I hear it's just as high quality as the engine oil. ;-)

Tap and Die set for chasing threads. On my quads they "prefit" some of the brackets/hardware and left some extra metal in the holes.

We expect pics!

The initial oil change should be non-synthetic so rings, bearings and so on can wear and set in then go with a full synthetic after.

Alright, so I have one put together, mostly. It got dark on me before I could put the handlebar protector things on. I think I'm going to leave them off. They look like they'd be the first thing to break. However, Once I finished I had extra bolts and nuts left over. Did yours come with extras or did I miss some places that should have bolts and nuts?

Had a bag of left over fasteners here also. With not having any metrics in my stock they have come in handy.

I never did put the hand guards on mine.

Where's the assembly pictures? We need pictures!

I still have a whole other one to put together! I'll try to post some pictures when I'm finished. I didn't find a key for the one I put together either. Hopefully the other one has 2 keys so I can use one for each.
Including un-crating, the first one took me 4 hours to assemble. Not bad for a rookie. Obviously I have not been able to start it or ride it yet
One other odd thing I noticed is that on the left footwell side, there is what looks to me like a shifter. On the right side is a knob gear shifter that has F-N-R on it. What's the shifter on the left for? Aren't these 3150's automatic?
