My nephews 49cc bike.

I picked this up for my sister and her husband for thier son's sixth b-day.
I think he should be a happy camper! It's in July I'll let you know. Here's
a link to a few pics on TT.

I was wrong about my nephews b-day being in July. It was really this past
Saturday. He got his dirt bike and was very happy. He went out Sunday
and rode it a bit and enjoyed it alot. I added a pic of him with the bike
over on TT. Link above...

Re: My nephews 49cc bike.

Do you remember the seller, I am looking for something for my kids ages 8 and 10. I just think that a 49cc may be to small for them, however they are just average height so anything over a 23 inch seat height may be too big..

Cool bike! I love seeing kids get started early.

My son got his a couple of months ago. 10yrs old 4' 6" about 70 lbs.
We bought this 100cc one and it has been great! I like to ride it myself.
I can't figure out if it is a Honda cloned engine or a Yamaha PW cloned engine. (The brake lever from a PW80 fit it.) A little research and I found out that it is a Jianshe. But there is a few million places to get the small off-road ones.

$549

They also have 150cc off road only:

Just measured my daughter and son and they are just a hair over 4 foot. About 4'1" My daughter being the oldest by 2 years and yet my son measures the tallest at 4'1". I think that the 100cc may be too high for them. Wish it wasn't looks fun to ride

I got it off of ebay for $200 shipped. It was the last one the guy had. He disappeared before the bike actually arrived. I was lucky everything was intack. You can still find them for a little over $200.

I rode this one in my back yard. It pulled me (6'2" 175lbs.) without any problems. My nephew (6yr old 50lbs.) didn't have any problem at all. It actually had more power than my brother in law wanted him to have. 8O

mdionis - This one has a seat height of 25" although it is a little more expensive.

I was considering getting a pair of those 49CC bikes for my kids, but was wondering what the reliability was on it. So how is your nephew's bike holding up?
