Another new Hawk

Hey guys,
Long time member, usually remain in the back ground quiet. It's been a while since I've purchased a China bike and had to make a post on this bike. These things have come a long way. I've read about every Hawk post there is, one thing that was mentioned was brittle plastics, these aren't perfect, but far far better than the bikes of 7+ years ago. The quality has made a huge jump IMHO.

Bike went together very easily with no surprises. My crate was smashed up bad, so that had me concerned, but all is well.

I have vm 26 carb with new jets coming, a new air filter. Already received the new spark plug and 17t sprocket I ordered.

If anyone is thinking about buying and has questions, feel free to ask. I purchased mine from Q9 Motorsports this past weekend, met truck driver yesterday to pick it up. Adam from RPS is great to deal with.

Very sharp!...and you're so right. The CB's have come so far in the last decade. Amazingly so.

Hah, I remember this one, the crate was fine when it went out - those truckers drive like maniacs.

Great pics

Can you get the actual seat height(s) on your bike whenever you find the time, every ad I read for these China bikes has a ton of misinformation trying to find some real world numbers for a 'small' bike for the Mrs.

Thanks in advance

Lowest part of the seat with nobody on it is 34.5 inches.

Side note, put the 17t sprocket on and it makes a world of difference. Adjusted the valves as well. Road it for 30 miles, very happy. Can't wait for the carb to come in.

As others have noted, to get the side cover back on, I had to grind away part of the top corner of the cover. Just slightly.

Congrats on the new bike.
I have a 17T sprocket I had ordered back when I had the "WILL200" bike.
Never installed it.
To be honest, the Will200 would have never had the power to pull a 17T on the road.

I have a question. I bought one of the bent elbow black foam filters to put on my hawk. For this type of filter, do you guys remove the stock air box and just run the filter straight off the carb?

That's what I do on my Lifan. I use Maxima Fab1 filter oil on it.

The relay and some wires mount to the air box. Also, the air box forms part of protection for the electronics under the seat. Not sure what's the better trade off. Not to mention the crankcase vent goes into the air box.
