Wow! Could have been a critical Type-o! Thanks! D8EA! Holy cow, the D and B aren't even close to each other for a three finger typist either....

100% Typo!!! Vertical chonda uses 12mm (NGK: D...) NOT 14mm (NGK:B...)

ok, thank you ... the book that was sent with my bike was outdated, does not even have the counterbalanced motor in it, and shows cable operated drum brakes

If you pull the spark plug and tell me what it has in it right now I can find a good replacement for you (or anyone that needs help finding one). I have done plenty of spark plug cross-reference/Iridium upgrades over the years, so put my little bit of exp to use if you like

As posted above, "spark plug cross reference" website is good, but you have to sometimes click around a bit to find the best brand that will fit

Not all NGK plugs are equal. The Chinese made NGK that was factory installed in my Lifan 200 failed in the middle of nowhere when the center electrode moved up into the insulator, increasing the gap to the point where it was difficult to start and wouldn't idle. If your plug is a Chinese NGK I recommend replacing it with a Japanese NGK or at least carrying a spare.

I too would suggest 'upgrading' to a spark plug of known origin wont cost that much like a couple bucks to what... $10 if you got an Iridium from Denso or NGK

X3; the Chinese make counterfeit NGK spark plugs. You can buy a genuine, NGK, D8EA spark plug from the local, auto parts store for about $2.

The spark plug gap should be perfect, right out of the box. Nevertheless, it is good practice to check the gap before installing the plug.
