New from CT
So I was directed to make an intro post. I was thinking of picking up an RX3.
Anywho, I'm Dave from CT. Build all sorts of junk. Cars, bikes, go carts, and custom turbo kits. I only have a few pics of bikes. Here is my restomod 1977 KZ650B brat. I took this from a pile of garbage I found on the side of friends garage to this. This is my 2001 SV650S I converted to a street fighter. My back is damaged and being bent over is no fun anymore. I paid $500 for this bike as you see it in the first pic. Second pic is after I went through it. Tires, chain, sprockets, pads, fluid change, plugs, carbs cleaned and jetted and cheap slip on. Here is it now without the fairing, regular bars and a digital Vapor dash. I also have a stock XS850 triple that is getting torn down and will be a cafe racer. A 1985 Ninja 600 that was just a restore that I ran out of interest with and I have a 1990 EN450 that is a custom bobber that is almost done. |

Good to see your stuff, Dave. Just a reminder that CSC will be closed this weekend 1 through 3 January. If you place your order tomorrow,,,,,,,,,, chuckle.
Welcome to the cult. |

Thanks for posting the photos, Dave. Weldangrind should be along shortly to ask many enlightened questions.

Enlightened? That's too much pressure for me.
I'll just say that your KZ makes the hair on my arms stand up. Excellent work. Did you document the build on another forum? DTT perhaps?

Welcome to the forum! You are very much the right sort of guy to fit in around here. Thanks for the pics.
One of the first 'superbikes' (they were back in the day) I ever rode was a 1977 KZ650 named 'Sarah Jane'. I belonged to my college friend Larry. Lots of good memories on that bike. It was the same color as yours. Great work, amazing price ;-) The SV looks awesome too. Where in CT are you from? I spent 4 years in Norwalk and New Haven. Much of CT is a beautiful state, with easy access to the rest of New England. I bet you are enjoying your 'winter'

Welcome. I also had a '77 KZ 650. A C model I bought in '84. It was my first real street bike. Very quick bike. Would love to have it back.
