so close I can feel it!! please help!

Alright so I sorted through all the wiring tonight after work and got my zong all wired up properly. Still no spark -__- plug is good, coil pack is brand new. My worry is either stator or cdi box. Still not sure if I need a rectifier even though I'm not running any lights. I don't have a meter to test the stator either :/ I don't wanna give up though. Oh I suppose I should add that its a 125cc. Thanks in advance!!

Your going to need a meter so you can test your stator output. You need to know if your getting power to your coil. If not then you need to know if your getting signal in and out of your cdi box. If not then you need to test the stator. Make sure all your grounds are good. The coil should be grounded if a 2 wire coil one is hot and one is ground. If a 1 wire coil the wire is hot and the ground is the bolt to the frame. Your battery will also be grounded.

Before checking all this however make sure your kill switch isn't triggered. If its the type of switch that slides to the left and right you need to push it in to deactivate. You will also have switches on the brakes and the clutch that will keep your bike from starting. Put bike in neutral, squeeze brake and clutch and press start button or kick. Do this also while checking for a spark at the plug.

Hope something helps getting you going.

We still need pictures. Pictures overall and pictures of your controls, switches etc on the handlebar.

There are no controls on the bars what so ever. It has been converted to just kick start. I have a momentary kill switch. It's a 1 wire coil so it groinds at the frame per the bolts to hold it in place. All wires are connected to one another minus the red wire and yellow wire from the stator. I have no battery. This is such a basket case :(

Are all the wires of the cdi box connected? Your kill switch is a simple push button? It doesn't slide to the left or right like a turn signal switch?

Yes all wires to cdi are connected and correct just a push button not a slider

Going to have to get those pictures up so we can see what is going on. Especially since the bike/electrical appears to have been modified.

A momentary kill switch is ok on a dirt-only bike. I converted one of Son of Weldangrind's bikes to a momentary switch. That accomplishes the same thing as a toggle.

You can verify voltage at the coil with a test light. They're super cheap at HF.

Ok if the ignition key is working(do you have a key), the brake lever safety switch and the brake pedal safety switch and the clutch lever safety switch and the kill switch is all working properly if your positive your not getting spark at the plug the next step is to confirm if you are getting power to the coil.

There is no ignition. No battery. No clutch/brake switches. 100% no spark at the plug. How can I test power to the coil?

Place the probe end of a test light to the positive wire feeding the coil, and clip the alligator clip to a good ground. As you kick it over, the tester should light up.

I'm surprised about this but I have never owned a non street bike. I would think all bikes have the safety switches on the brakes that keep the bike from starting unless the brakes are applied.
