another new guy lol

I just got a bike from a friend with no clue what make or model it is. All iv been told by him is that its a 150cc. Problem is it doesn't run. Has great compression but no spark due to the stator wiring is all messed up from previous owner. Was also "converted" from electric start to just kick start. Any help to get it running would be greatly appreciated!!!

Post pictures of everything. Overview of the bike. Numbers stamped on engine. Try to get some closeups of the messed up wiring.

Measure ohm reading will tells the result. http://www.dansmc.com/electricaltesting.htm
In order to have spark or run, the following needs in good order
AC-CDI

---
DC-CDI (can bypass the rec in test) Reliable DC 12v / >= 1 amp source (ac adapter / Lead-acid battery that in good condition...)

So I have no rectifier what so ever for this bike. I have the stator, cdi, and the coil as far as electrical. Is the rectifier needed even though I'm not running any lights? This is going to be strictly an off road vehicle.
