Cabin Air Filter Nastiness
I was reading the shop manual for my old GMC Sierra 1500, and I discovered that it has two cabin air filters. I picked up a couple for cheap on eBay and removed the old ones. Gross.
The air vents seem to move more air now, although I don't have a way to quantify that. What I know is that I feel better about having clean filters in it, and the pair was less than $10. I doubt that they've ever been changed since the truck was new in '99. IMG-20140614-00211.jpg

That's nasty. Something I'm sure is commonly overlooked.
That being said I've never replaced one .... Lol Dave |

Egads! The airflow and air quality must have certainly improved.

Hmm, I need to research and see if these are on our 98 Silverado. If so they will prolly be as gross as those. Off to google!
Thanks for the info! Jim
