Gio Rebel T3 dies at high RPM when warmed up - CDI?

My 200cc Gio Rebel T3 starts easy, works great for about 15 minutes, then dies.
Usually happens when cruising at high rpm, starts sputtering...putting choke on helps keep it running but at reduced performance.

Cleaned carb out twice, ran without fuel filter, popped the gas cap off, same problem.
Before I order a CDI, anyone experience this before?

That's a very common CDI failure. I recommend that you buy at least two, so you always have one for troubleshooting.

Thanks - I'll post back when I receive the CDI.
