Sad but I think it's a smart decision.
Darn thing starts first kick now and has never been nicer to ride but I can use the space and the money, and frankly I don't know how well this antique will hold up in the future.

I agree, the BSA is one of a kind... But, what makes it rare also makes it expensive to fix. Hoping it sells quick for you Doc!

I have it priced VERY low. But, I'm not in a big city (Thank God). If it doesn't move in a week I'll repost it in Seattle and Portland.

I think that's the right move. The Cafe Racer magazine reference was a nice touch. Have you found a copy yet?

So are you looking for a big garage with an attached house to move too?

Weld, I've just seen the TV show and I like it.
Kato, yes I'm downsizing. As Brother Spud can attest my house is ridiculously large for my needs, indeed about 3 times larger than what I would ever need. I bought this house for my ex, not for me. Also the financial demands of the divorce put a hurting on me and I'd like to get rid of the nearly $5,000/month it takes me to live where I am now. I'm looking mostly at smaller places even further out in the country than I am now, and with shops.

Ny house is small, but so is the payment and associated costs. Many people have garages that are bigger.

I realize you hate to part with the bike. However, I do think you made a wise decision, Doc. I wish you a quick sale in the local Craigslist. However, if the bike doesn't sell locally, you certainly won't have a problem selling that bike in either Seattle, or Portland.

Not a single bite. I think my local market is too small. Will wait another couple days and post it in Portland.
Do you guys have any thoughts about selling it on eBay?

Doc. I would start with using the ebay classifieds. It is free to use and the bike will appear when searched. Will give you a broader audience.
I believe the fee to sell a motorcycle like that is about $100 otherwise.
