Uncrating a new RX3

For anyone who isn't sure they want to get one shipped to them, or anyone who's just curious, here are some pics of the process:

First, here's the box. That's me checking the paperwork.uncrate1.JPG

Here's our first peek and the good stuff inside:uncrate2.JPG

This is a well-packed unit...the big staples hold but come out easy.uncrate3.JPG

The wooden "hoops" attach to the pallet with screws. They come off next.uncrate4.JPG

Here are the keys, zip-tied to the handlebars:uncrate5.JPG

Uncrating a new RX3, part 2

Next up, more fun in the parking lot!

The crate features a useful front wheel chock arrangement...knock the board off the front and the bike just rolls forward and off the pallet:uncrate6.JPG

Then, the preflight check: oil, coolant, brake fluid, chain adjustment, tire pressure, add fuel...uncrate6.1.JPG

Final checks and put on the gear...uncrate7.JPG

Annnd...ENJOY!uncrate8.JPG

Thanks for posting the great photos. CSC does an excellent job assembling, and packaging the RX3 for transport.

I haven't uncrated a new machine for a few years; I miss that experience.

Nice bike! Thanks for the pics.

Congrats Mckayprod! And ditto on the thanks for posting the photos. I think CSC has really done a great job with making the bike almost ride-ready as soon as you break down the shipping container. Safe travels and let us know your thoughts on the bike!

Thanks for the kind words. I know I lost a little sleep worrying about the uncrate/setup process and wanted to help anyone else in that frame of mind.

This bike is a lot of fun so far; I expect I'll have more good (and bad) to say as I break it in...only 87 miles on it now.

Nice pictures. Unboxing must feel like Christmas!

I like the blue color too.

Cheers!

mckayprod, Wow, congrat's and "Cool Beans" for you . You folks are lucky, buy a new bike and get free wood to recycle and make some cool tables or work bench with.

Congratulations, and welcome to The Cult of The Zong.

CSC certainly does a good job packing those motorcycles for shipping. The Shinko tires good look.

I'd love to get one of those! My finances, however, say no right now. . . :(

Thumbs Up

Nice looking bike, Danimal! And way to go on the factory options out-of-the-box.
