Big guy on a little bike!

Any of you guys over 200 pounds take your 70cc dirtbikes (Lifan Swallow) out on some pretty rough, rocky, hilly trails? How are they holding up? I did about 25 rough miles on mine. I weigh 215 to 220 pounds. Only damage was a bent footpeg. I straightened it somewhat. I'm going to put on a skidplate, too.

LMAO!

I have a souped up race ready YZ80 left over from my exstepson. He thrashed it to death and basically abandoned it in the shop. I fixed it up to sell it and I've ridden it a little. Monster freaking screamer up high, dead down low. Evil little thing. It's always plotting to throw me off like a pissed off horse.

Anyway I've ridden it some, I'm about 175-180 pounds. I hate it. Like I say its hazardous it's so peaky.

It is a very nice bike and very attractive. Not only me but everyone, like this new style of bike and red color is suitable to it. But you did not mention its price and where you purchased this bike?

I got it at the Knoxville Motorcycle Rally. I paid $825 for it. It runs great. I had it out today messing around the neighborhood.

amad,
I'm a little north of 200 lbs and my little pit bike is taking it so far. It's my bike of choice on the really rough logging roads we have here in he mountains. It has plenty of juice to haul me around. I do have to admit that being an older but wiser rider (my wife would not agree) I don't ride too crazy.

SSR SR-125 BMW Pit Bike in it's cleaner days

I bought it online here for $659 several years ago and had it shipped to me in WNC.

So far so good just needing normal maintenance but I need to add some bar risers to make standing on the pegs easier.

It's not street legal but we have the "liquor cycle" laws here so the police don't bother me when I ride it on the road for short distances.

50cc scooter law. Lets the DUI people without licenses have transportation. No license needed.

Interesting, and maybe a good idea so they can still get to work. A 50cc scooter will cause minimal damage when they drive drunk and hit something, God forbid a pedestrian though.

Maybe they should be required to be painted neon green or something so they are easily seen and avoided.

Maybe tassles on the handlebars, and a rotating beacon on the helmet too.

i had a buddy actually ride his little sport pocket bike to and from work, and to friends houses. he just stayed in the bike lane, altho he did do some mods for a small power increase, and put a different front sprocket.

from his place to his job was a good 10 miles, with hills and everything.. cops never bothered him, just laughed..

I had a couple of pocketbikes for the kids to play on for a little while. I'm surprised he could get one to run 10 miles without breaking!

Loud SOB's too. It was like sitting on a chainsaw. Fast buggers though.
