First day out this season

Went for a ride near my home finally with my buddy who has an XR200. Ran into a bit of snow so couldn't get to the lake. Still, nice to have the bike out finally.

Jack

Wow! Snow! How high in the mountains were you?

I haven't seen snow deeper than 2 inches in YEARS.

I'm glad you got to ride, Jack. One of my favorite trails is usually blocked by snow until the arrival of August.

I'd expect you'd be pretty high up for the end of June to still have snow. Granted it hasn't been that warm yet up here in the WA/BC area but I'm still surprised to see some snow considering it wasn't that cold a winter either.

Great shots for sure thanks for sharing!

The elevation near where we were blocked by snow is around 4,000'. It is suppose to finally warm up this week so the road should be passable.

Do you ride the Snoqualmie pass area? Do you know the trails/forest roads? I've been meaning to get up there to ride but have no local knowledge...

I live at Hyak which is on the pass. I've been riding the forest service roads for a few years now so I'm getting to know them ok. I'm trying to talk my buddy Ed into getting something street legal so we can cross the roads w/o worry of the sheriff or state patrol.

I'd be glad to show you around a bit if you want. I'm always up for riding when the weather is good, or as time allows me.

Nice night

Rode for an hour or so around backside of Hyak ski area. The roads go on forever it seems.

Me and my brother used to ride our ATC/ATV's in the sand dunes of Moses Lake back in the 80's to early 90's. I still have my Tecate 3-wheeler (faster then fast) but have not rode it for many years (sits in parents garage).

Kawasaki is same as this one, just not as clean...
