Derbi SM 125 4T

Do you guys in the states get Derbi motorcycles (they're Spanish)? I've just seen a SM 125 4T. It has a Chinese OHV motor, and maybe of more interest a stainless steel exhaust. It doesn't look like it will need much adjustment to make it fit the generic GY trail bike.

Jonathan.

In theory we get them, but if so, they are in the same league as Gas-Gas--very exotic for the US. I bet we only get limited products, such as their scooters (which does sound familiar in the world of scooters), and not that way nice looking supermotard .

They are like culcune said an exotic in the US. I have never seen one in person.

A little bit more light on their "exoticness" here in the US...

http://www.motorcycle.com/manufactur...ges-16154.html

Derbi's relationship with the US market has been on-again and off-again for the last 40 years. Rental companies loved Derbi's mopeds in the 70's, as they made a model with collapsible pedals that could be rented to non-licensed riders, as well as other models popular during the 70's moped craze. However, Derbi never fully established itself in the U.S. as a series of small importers would bring in a few containers at a time and then abandon importation of bikes and parts.

Sounds like the Chinese bike business here in the US, too!!
